First off, let me say that I am a fan of this series. This is perhaps the twelfth book in the series that I've read. I've enjoyed getting to know the characters, and I love watching their development and interaction. In this book, Peach is solving the murder of a powerful and evil man. There is no shortage of suspects: the unfaithful wife, the wife's boyfriend, a "business" rival, a hit man, and several employees in his own household who have suffered damage at his hands. Percy along with DS Norcott, "a hard bastand," finally catch and arrest the guilty. One thing I really like about all of these books is that the culprit is never revealed until the final page or two. It is interesting to compare wits with Percy Peach.

i enjoy the humour and intrigue of the Inspector Peach Mysteries. Gregson always provides a page turning book. A little romance adds the flavour.
