Jill is a twenty eight year old woman, married for just two years to her loving husband Jay. Jill's world comes crashing down when Jay leaves the house for an early morning jog and is hit and killed by a drunk driver. As expected, Jill takes the loss hard and has difficulty adjusting to life without her best friend and love of her life. Fortunately, Jill has a strong support system in the form of her two best friends, Lanie and Stella, who rally around her to provide the grieving widow with around the clock supervision.

While I appreciated the fact that Jill's friends loved her dearly and wanted to help her get past the death of her husband, I began to feel that their continuous "help" was slightly over the top. I would have much preferred to see Jill grieve, grow and move on a little more independently. I almost felt as though Jill needed people to take care of her...needed someone, anyone in her life to save her. In fact, even in death her husband continued to take care of her.

However, having said this, I did enjoy Safe & Sound. T. S. Krupa's writing style is easy, breezy and fun. This was a quick beach or poolside read. I would love to see a sequel, with Jill becoming a more independent, strong woman all on her own. I would recommend Safe & Sound and look forward to reading more from this new author!

The first half of the book had a lot of redundant chapters. It picked up midway through and then I couldn't put it down. Nice story about love lost and found again.
I loved this book! When I read the book really has to grab my attention and this one did!

This book was written so well that you can't help but become inner twined with the characters. You will feel the roller coaster of emotions throughout! I only wish it had a few more chapters!!!
Nothing life changing... simple story with no real plot twists. I would not rec. unless you are looking for a filler book.
I loved how the author can engross you into each character as if they are real people you know. What a very honesty detail of loss and finding yourself after. I loved this book and couldn’t put it down
Not a bad book. I did like it and quite a few parts surprised me. I guess I expected it was going to be like so many others, so there were nice surprises about it. I have to say that some parts didn't ring quite right to me, but having just been through a death in the family and dealing with lawyers and estates, it's not often that one can put off a lawyer so easily, but I don't live in that state, so maybe it can happen. In my state, things are supposed to be settled faster. Nevertheless, it was a nice novel and I'm happy I took the time to read it.

I do hope she continues writing and I get the chance to read another.
With the chaotic nature of my life, I tend to stay away from heart wrenching novels, but the gorgeous cover and captivating description drew me to Safe & Sound. Ms. Krupa's writing style is engaging, her characters are relatable and her descriptions are so vivid that you almost feel like you are living in Jill's world. I found myself engrossed in the first few pages and carried my with me so I could read whenever I had a few moments. My eyes filled with tears often, but Ms. Krupa brought a smile to my face just as often to ease the pain of the journey Jill was taking. Safe & Sound is an incredible, bittersweet and ultimately triumphant story. I look forward to Ms. Krupa's next novel.
