It is only okay if you don't mind the dumb, one-dimensional and self-centered Sue- sorry heroine. The style is good, the plot is decent, the genie could be worse. But the heroine is absolutely not working. For me at least.

Falling for the Genie Genie Love Book 1 edition by Dee J Stone Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
This was a fun, fabulous read!! Great characterization and detail, a well thought out plot. I was really pulling for things to come out right for them. The subplot with her mom was really well done, lots of feeling there, and played out well. I LOVE that she eschewed the stereotypes, too, and wrote her own magical world for the Djinn.
I loved this book. The story line was so refreshing and unique. Dee J. Stone's writing style is fun and natural. It felt effortless to sink right into the story. Lily and Sabastian's relationship will have you turning page after page to find out what happens. Their love shouldn't be possible but it's impossible for the two of them to ignore. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but the plot twists just keep unfolding in this book and I loved every minute of it.
A very fun read. I enjoyed watching the romance between Sebastian and lily. The romance is natural and you really feel Lily’s love for Sebastian. I love the twist on the genies and how they come to be. The author has me crying at several spots and I was hooked in with the story and couldn’t put it down.
Falling for the Genie (Book 1/1 so far in the "Genie's Love" series) by Dee J. Stone won me over. It really did.
I'm going to get the negative over first... For ME (maybe not you), the writing style felt like it was aimed at small children. It's not the story or the vocabulary that are at fault; both of those are great, and they're really more important anyway... I just personally cannot stand constant first-person POV in the present tense for an entire book. I don't mind it when it switches between characters and/or an omniscient narrator is involved. In this case, however, it's just Lily.
Example "I sigh and give my best friend Macy a look. She lifts an eyebrow. 'Take them,' I say. She shakes her head. "No way. I served them yesterday. It's your turn." I can't argue with that." Later on, the genie, Sebastian, will say certain things, and even though some are outlandish, she just thinks to herself, "That makes sense to me."
It's challenging to describe. I don't know if those quotes are long enough to convey my meaning, but I'm not here to beat the book up, so it's not overly crucial.
Onto the Good
It won me over. I loved the story way too much to care about how it was relayed to me by the end, honestly.
Sebastian is a very sympathetic, lovable character. He has a major surprise towards the end that requires further suspension of disbelief, but it's manageable, and it allows for the ending in a way that nothing else could. The ending was unique in that it wasn't predictable. A part of it was, but a subplot in the story didn't end as expected. Points for originality on that.
I'm a complete genie fanatic, and this was a storyline I really wanted to read. I could imagine being in the book very easily. That's the upside to the way it was told I suppose. There were also a couple of layers to the plot, and I think that made a positive difference too.
This was a sweet romance. There was not one explicit adult scene, and I actually found that "refreshing" to quote another reviewer. It felt "adult" as far as the characters and content; feelings and problems took a front seat while "lustiness" took a backseat for once (more relationship-building, fewer hormones). If you're looking for erotica, then this isn't for you!
When I began this book, I thought I'd hate it, but, as I said, it won me over. My true rating is 3.5, but I can't give less than 4 stars due to my overall enjoyment and hopes for another book in this series. I'm a sucker for the tortured hero, genie/master, woman-saves-the-day theme. In this case, you can decide if Lily saved the day. What she definitely did was to offer the first bit of kindness poor Sebastian had received in many years, and it was heart warming. ) If you want a light "beach read" romance full of magic and mischief, then try this out for size!
I really loved this book! It was so amazing that I could actually feel the characters passion for one another. It gave me goose bumps!
Too predictable,I found it a struggle to finish.
I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the plot. I had a hard time putting this book down. I am looking forward to reading the second book.
It is only okay if you don't mind the dumb, one-dimensional and self-centered Sue- sorry heroine.
The style is good, the plot is decent, the genie could be worse. But the heroine is absolutely not working. For me at least.
